ONU Involvement : Powerlifting

Going into college made me very anxious, as I'm sure it did for a majority of current students. My main worry was meeting new friends. Coming into college is almost like a new life, almost everyone has not a clue who you are, so you have to willingly try to meet people. Something that helped me tremendously was browsing the different clubs. Ohio Northern has over 200 clubs that range from religious clubs, like Brother's in Christ to sports clubs, like disc golf and ultimate frisbee.

If you every struggle to fit in, get involved or meet new people, I recommend looking through the large list of clubs on Northern Network. I can assure you that there is at least a couple of clubs that spark your interest. For me, I recently joined the Powerlifting Club because I love lifting weights, working out and trying to improve my health and physique. There are more clubs I hope to eventually get involved in, like Men's Club Volleyball and Brother's in Christ.

ONU does a great job at making the clubs accessible, while also encouraging students to get involved. An example of this would be Klondike, and those (annoying) texts you get every couple weeks. In conclusion, I am excited to see what organizations and clubs I get involved in, and how that can help me grow as an individual.
