Making Memories
Making
Memories
For this blogpost I want to talk about my friends and
some of the activities we do together. For starters, most of my close friends
play on my intramural volleyball team, so about 2 hours before our game we get
together and play some games. These games consist of euchre, poker, screw your
neighbor and more card games. Spending quality time with these friends is
something I will never take for granted and will forever be a core college
memory for me.
When we decide to get together before our volleyball
games, we normally go to my friend Austin’s apartment or my other friend Ethan’s
house. When it comes time for our game, we clean everything up and one of our
teammates Torrie, makes brownies or some type of treat. The brownies could be
the sole reason we’ve won 3 games in a row! After the game we normally sit
around Kinghorn and talk for a few minutes before packing up and leaving. Most
of the time our games are after 8, so we all normally go back to our homes.
However, on the rare occasion that we get a game before 8, we go back to the
place we were previously and continue to play games and watch professional
sports.
All
in all, I am super grateful to be able to meet these friends and spend quality
time with them. I hope in the coming years we all stay tight-knit and continue
to hang out. I think the underlying cause of me and all of my current friends
becoming as close as we are, is simply involvement. Getting involved in clubs
and extracurricular activities gave me the opportunity to meet some of these
people. In this case it would be intramural volleyball but in other situations
I have met a handful of people through the powerlifting program here too. In
conclusion, I am blessed to have met so many great people in my time so far at
ONU.
