Stukent Simternship : My Opinion and Thoughts
Stukent Simternship : My Opinion and Thoughts
For my Principles of Social
Media class, we we’re required to complete a social media simulation, called a “simternship”.
This was a 12 round program where you were working as a social media strategist
for a company called Buhi. Buhi was a popular company that produced bags of all
kinds. For the first 3 rounds you were simply analyzing statistics like
audience age, conversions and overall popularity. The next 3 rounds you were
running advertisements where you would review the same statistics. The 3 rounds
after that, were reaching out to influencers to promote your brand or help you
with social media brand awareness and engagement. Lastly, the final 3 rounds
were putting all of them together to show your improvement and skills learned.
Now that I’ve discussed what I did in this simulation, I
wanted to share my opinion. It is a simulation so there will be some
inaccuracies, but for the most part I found this program to be well put
together and accurate. I was honestly impressed with how it interpreted the
posts and gave the feedback for each social media platform. Another thing I was
impressed with was the variety of content. Being able to analyze statistics and
implement that into 3 different social media marketing strategies was very
cool. Personally, I am a huge social media advocate and love using the
different platforms, whether it is to promote my fitness journey or to just
give updates to my followers, friends and family. My interest in social media
made this simulation very fun and entertaining. It was decently challenging,
but overall was simple to use the different components and find success.
In conclusion, I found this “simternship” ran by Stukent extremely
helpful. There was one day where I did 4-5 rounds in a day because I found it
so interesting. In hindsight I would definitely do this program over again if I
were given the option!
